One Month To Madden '07

I’m not obsessed with video games, really. I just like a few. Mainly sports games and the occasionally good shooter or strategy game. But Madden is always a must. Now the big question is do I go XBOX 360 or not? I know the answer is already no, but this is the first time the game offers so many more features for a more advanced platform versus the others.

XBOX 360-ers get to being the season in mini-camp, the “Madden Gamer Level” tracks career accomplishments and there’s replay challenge just like in the pros. Plus I’m betting the graphics will be a lot nicer. These features in the year’s biggest game will sell a lot of XBOX 360s come August. Trust me. They should be bundling the console with the game and sell it as a package. Is anyone out there planning to upgrade to XBOX 360 because of Madden?

Dolphins Doldrums

Like many of my fellow Dolphin obsessed I’m a bit uncertain what to do with my life with such a lack of news out of Davie. So when I received a copy of the new EA game Head Coach I figured my boredom was solved. I had read all about how actual NFL coaches admitted the game was almost too realistic. That must mean its great right?

For anyone that’s played Madden I figured this would be like the menu screens brought to life, and in many ways it is. The only problem is there is very little instruction when you need it and boy does it get boring. It took a long time to figure out that the amount of moves you could make during each part of the day was limited (you have Office Hours, Sign Players, Staff Meetings). That caught up to me come draft time.
