We’re dusting off the cobwebs here at Firejeffzucker.com to protest NBC’s potential canceling of Chuck.
We stopped penning this blog mainly because one of us stopped blogging about entertainment to focus on a career blogging about cars and being a dad.
Still, Courtney and I love TV and we watch a lot of NBC programs. Right now, hands down the best show on NBC, if not all of scripted TV, is Chuck.
This is the one show that just brings a smile to my face for its wit, plot and lovable characters. With the loss of the 10 p.m. time slot next year to Jay Leno (which we’re almost OK with) Chuck somehow could be on the chopping block.
We know that Jeff Zucker has actually been promoted since we started way back in June 2006. He’s now the really big boss at NBC Universal and we should be picking a fight with Ben Silverman. But dammit, this show is important enough for this blog to resurface and land on Zucker’s RSS feed! Yeah, you know he’s got to have his own name Google Alert-ed.
So if you’re a blogger, a TV critic, a mad as hell Twitter-er please leave a comment below in protest. Just check in and say “Save Chuck” to voice your support for the show.

AN ALTERNATE IDEA IF NBC DECIDES NOT TO RENEW CHUCK …. ASK SUBWAY TO BUY THE 3rd SEASON AND HAVE IT AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD FROM THEIR WEBSITE, COMPLETE WITH SUBWAY COMMERCIALS … HERE IS THE LETTER THAT I WROTE:

Subway has done well with product placement and its sponsorship of the current NBC series Chuck.
There is a good size, devoted fan base who have shown their loyalty to the Subway brand for its’
dedication to this show with increased purchases and a “Save Chuck” campaign that involved the
purchase of Subway product, kicked off by series star Zachari Levy himself.
If NBC isn’t smart enough to keep this series, I believe it would be a wise investment for Subway
to order at least a partial 3rd season of full episodes to be made available, complete with exclusive Subway commercials and promotions, on your website at: http://www.subway.com/chuck
This is a unique opportunity for Subway to make their website a “must see” content portal for its’ core demographic, and the Good Will that this would engender simply cannot be purchased through normal
advertising mediums.
As well, the cover place where the character Sarah works, the frozen yogurt shop, could easily be changed to a Subway store instead, as it changed between Season 1 and 2 from a Weiner Hut.
Last, the devoted fan base would respond positively to a partnership between Subway and the
principal Actors in the series (Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski and Adam Baldwin) to promote
Chuck Season 3 and Subway on the Subway website.
