Fighting The Suburbs is now Dad Therapy

Yep, the confusing header switch and all took place this morning by accident but I figured I better get an explanation up quickly to the hundreds of you that read regularly. Fighting The Suburbs is now Dad Therapy.

The main reason for the switch is two-fold:

  1. Since having a child (with No. 2 on the way) the wife and I go out a lot less to eat and do a lot less “city/Chicago” stuff.
  2. Yes, we might move to the suburbs sometime soon, and that would be hypocritical.

In the end, I think I have a lot more to share with the Dad community than I do the Chicago blogging community. And let’s face it, the Dad blog world is a bit bigger sphere for stuff like car seat checks, gadget reviews, and TV watching. Along with my ample consumption of beer, wine and food.

Let me know what you think. The logo is also temporary. Again, the switchover was not expected to happen so soon.

Hey guys. Sorry we've been off the radar for so long. We were out of town for the holiday weekend and then some. But I wanted to point you to an experiment I'm doing. Some folks love Twitter and I'm trying to see if there is any interest in it for car nuts. You can follow my driving habits in the side bar to the right or on my Twitter page here.

Let me know what you think.

Welcome!

Welcome to Fighting The Suburbs. FTS is a Chicago-centric blog where we’ll be blogging about our city-dwelling habits. The title comes from our recent decision to buy another place in the city and put off a move to the suburbs despite many of our friends already taking the plunge.

Mostly we’ll be posting about restaurants as that is one topic we’ve yet to blog about with any regularity. We’re usually homebodies but do venture out for theater, museums, concerts and lots of drinking and eating. We live in Logan Square and we made an effort to stay in the neighborhood when we were house-hunting this last time. We’ve lived in the neighborhood for the past four years and looked everywhere, north and south, and couldn’t find an area we liked better…so we’re back.
