I’ve gone through HR orientation, spent two days on the job and they haven’t gone out of business yet so I guess it’s OK for me to tell everyone where I’m working now. I started a new position as Editorial Producer at cars.com on Tuesday.
So far it seems like a terrific place to work (and no I don’t blog about my day to day “grind” like other bloggers I’m just saying so far it’s all extremely positive). The team is very talented and there are a lot of resources and willing ears. Both are very important to have a successful publication of any kind. They actually launched their first blog, I’m in charge of it, on my first day. That was a bit daunting but I think it will fall into place by the end of the week and our official launch date Monday.
Otherwise, the commute is a breeze, 30 minutes each way including all walking to the Metra train. And I actually get use out of my iPod enabled phone.
